FAQ

What people usually ask

Which port does Opazo Muellaje operate in?

Opazo Muellaje operates exclusively at the Port of Antofagasta, every day of the year. From there we handle cargo for the mining, industry and foreign trade of northern Chile, as well as cargo with origin or destination in Bolivia and north-western Argentina.

What services does it offer?

Every service your cargo needs at the port: vessel loading and unloading, container deconsolidation, depot and storage, project cargo, oversized cargo, lashing and securing, and port transport and logistics. If your operation needs something different, let's talk: we tailor the solution to your cargo.

What types of cargo can you handle?

HQ, Flat Rack and Open Top containers, general and project cargo, and oversized cargo. We work with forklifts, a reach stacker and, together with our partners, telescopic cranes as each operation requires. Everything is open to discussion.

Do you handle Bolivian and northern Argentine cargo?

Yes. Northern Chile's ports are one of the main Pacific gateways for Bolivian and north-western Argentine cargo. At Antofagasta, Opazo Muellaje carries out the discharge, deconsolidation, depot and dispatch of that import and export cargo. According to Chile's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bolivian cargo also has free storage at this port: up to one year for imports and up to 60 days for exports.
